Hi, I’m Hilary.
I do what I do because I’ve been in your shoes.

I’m a certified sleep consultant, trained in a proven, effective program that’s worked for thousands of families; simply put, I can help you and your child sleep better, now and long term.

Helping little ones develop healthy, independent sleep skills they will take with them throughout their lives is my absolute passion. And I love sharing in the relief and joy parents feel when the whole family is finally sleeping through the night.

I am a mother of two young children. My own struggles with my first child’s ability to sleep led me into the overwhelming world of sleep literature, as many tired parents can relate, and to eventually discover SleepSense™ through the sleep coach we hired. The incredible, quick (and lasting!) success we experienced sparked my desire to help other babies and families gain life-long, healthy sleep habits. Using this program also helped me get my second baby off to a great start.

Before embarking on this path, I spent 15 years working in health care as a physiotherapist; this has given me a healthy respect for the role of research in helping parents make the best decisions for their family. My years of training in meditation, yoga and Buddhist philosophy have helped me realize the importance of compassion and mindfulness when working with these little beings; it’s also given me tools I am happy to pass on to families coping with the stress that comes with sleepless nights.

My home has just switched from Vancouver, BC to St. John's, Newfoundland (one ocean to the other), but thanks to technology, I can create a customized sleep plan for your baby and work closely with you wherever you call home.

Prenatal Consultation

Quite possibly the best baby-shower gift ever.

An hour-long education session for parents-to-be on how to give your baby the best chance to
develop healthy sleep habits from the start (and minimize your own fatigue!).

Includes a 15% discount on any future sleep support to help with any bumps along the way.

Newborn Sleep plan (0-3 months)

Working with you and your newborn baby, our aim will be to prevent over-tiredness
and help them get a great start toward solid, independent sleep. Includes:

1) A one-on-one consultation

2) A newborn sleep plan to help you guide your baby

3) 10 days of phone and/or email follow-up support

infant and Toddler sleep plans (3 months – 2 years)

After three months, the aim is to teach babies how to fall asleep independently and sleep through the night.
NOTE: Between three and six months, it is recommended to keep at least one night feeding.

Preschool and big-kid sleep plans (2 - 10 years)

Teaching your child to sleep through the night on his own is important for optimal emotional and

Half-Night Help

Want a real hand to hold through your first night?

I can come to your home anywhere in St. John's and the surrounding area (up to 100 km) an hour before your child’s bedtime and stay for up to six hours to coach and support you through the first few hurdles.


* Twins!  Add $95 to the cost of your plan – two for the price of one-and-a-bit.  

* Need two kids to sleep better? It’s a great deal! Add just $195 to the cost of the plan that applies to the older child. 

* For unlimited text-messaging support throughout the first night of starting your baby’s sleep program, add $100 to your plan.
