Confident Sleepers group program

Hi there! I’m so glad you’ve decided to find out more; you’re one step closer to easing your child’s anxiety at bedtime and helping your whole family sleep through the night.

Confident Sleepers Group Program for kids aged 6-12

Four Saturdays: June 13, June 27, July 11, July 25

9am Vancouver/LA

12 noon Toronto/New York

5pm London

(if you’re vacationing in that time, no worries - there will be recordings and tips for travel).

This program is for families with kids:

  • 6-12 years old who are either struggling to fall asleep independently and/or sleep through the night on their own.

  • who have either a lifelong sleep issue or a brand-new one.

  • who are managing social and school activities / situations without significant anxiety (or if they have broader anxiety issues, they are already working with a certified counsellor or psychologist).

  • This program is also appropriate (and successful!) for kids with ADHD.

My kid-sleep philosophy:

When a child is afraid of being alone, afraid of the dark, can’t fall asleep independently and wakes during the night, they are almost certainly “stuck” in flight-or-flight around sleeping alone. In the Confident Sleepers program, we work at the level of your child’s nervous system, supporting them without harsh, hold-the-line boundaries that often increase your child’s anxiety. Here’s how we do it:

  • we validate their fears and feelings;

  • teach them about the very natural, normal process their brains and bodies are going through without shame or judgement;

  • give them tools and tricks to switch themselves out of fight-or-flight, empowering them in the process;

  • support them in their progress towards sleep independence at a comfortable pace, which will be different for every child.

What parents will learn:

  • my “four parenting superpowers” to expertly and gently guide your kids through anything from minor worries to full-blown meltdowns.

  • an 8-10-minute add-on to your bedtime routine that will calm your child’s nervous system before their head even hits the pillow..

  • a proven system and philosophy for supporting your child from fear to calm at bedtime, eliminating night wakings altogether.

Here's how the group program will work:

  • We start with a 90-minute zoom meeting on Saturday, June 13 to go through the entire plan (the first 20 minutes for the kids), with Q&A at the end.

  • I send you a pdf of every step, strategy and tool in the process.

  • You’ll receive nutrition and medical checklists to uncover any (unlikely) physical factors to discuss with your doctor.

  • We have 3 bi-weekly, 30-minute zoom check-ins to celebrate successes / trouble-shoot challenges, and add steps and new strategies.

  • I send weekly personalized voice texts to encourage your child along the way and to help foster motivation, accountability and a sense of internal pride.

  • Along the way you’ll get printable resources: confidence-boosting, fear-busting activities and posters.

  • On Saturday, July 25, we’ll have a wrap-up meeting to celebrate the kids' successes, and/or outline the steps they might need to get over the last hurdle on their own time.

  • Recordings will be available on a secure platform if ever your family can't make it.
